Current results of the H2020 INTERPRETER project presented at the General Assembly in March
The 5th
General Assembly of the European-funded project H2020-INTERPRETER was held in
the end of March in Granada, Spain, hosted by one of the consortium partners,
the Spanish DSO CUERVA Energia, at the Cámara de Comercio de Granada.
INTERPRETER main objective is the implementation of a modular grid management solution consisting of a set of 10 software applications for an optimal design, planning, operation and maintenance of the electricity grid - with a special focus on the distribution network. The various modules will be accessed by network operators through an interoperable platform. These tools will support TSOs and DSOs in the transition from "traditional" network management to more active management, considering the rapid development of distributed energy sources as well as a growing concern for the environment.
The event held in March served to evaluate the status of the project, focusing on the developments of the last 6 months. The meeting was kicked-off by CUERVA's CEO Ignacio Cuerva Valdivia, welcoming the Consortium and opening the discussions. All partners presented their parts, namely:
- Project baseline and Use Cases definition, by ORES;
- Software
applications for efficient operation and maintenance of the grid, by DTU -
Technical University of Denmark;
- Software
application for an effective grid planning, led and presented by R&D
Nester;
-
Integration of modelling tool and SW applications, by Atos;
- Testing
and validation, by Cuerva;
-
Dissemination, communication and exploitation, by Euroquality.
The meeting finished with a couple of workshops dedicated to dissemination and exploitation led by Euroquality and Atos, respectively. It was defined that the following and final H2020 INTERPRETER General Assembly will be in Brussels in September, in which the overall project will be presented to the European Commission.
