R&D Nester in the kick-off meeting of the Project OneNet
The European Commission H2020 project OneNet - TSO-DSO - Consumer: Large-Scale Demonstration of Innovative Grid Services through DR, Storage and Small-Scale (RES) Generation is a 3-year project that started on October 2020 and will last until September 2023.
This project aims to achieve the following objectives as stated in the call:
- "...creating the conditions for a new generation of grid services able to fully exploit demand response, storage and distributed generation while creating fair, transparent and open conditions for the consumer;
- build a customer centric approach to grid operation by proposing new markets, products and services and by creating a unique IT architecture..."
The concept proposed by OneNet will be tested and implemented in 4 geographical cluster demos.
On 29/10/2020 a kick-off webmeeting on OneNet was held in which the dedicated Work Packages were briefly presented. The work packages are clustered in three pillars (Markets & Operation, Impact and IT) as shown in the figure:
OneNet counts with the participation of 72 partners, where, amid many others, R&D NESTER, REN and EDP Distribuição are going to participate and contribute in developing the West Cluster demo in Portugal. The Work Package concerning the West Cluster Demo is where R&D NESTER will be more involved together with other WP highlighted in bold in the figure.
A new logo was adopted during the kick-off meeting:
